I have been catching crappie all summer, although slow at times, some very nice fish. Went today and the wind kept me off my "A" spots, but the fish are starting to really get active and move around a lot. Fish seem to be holding in 10-15 feet of water most of the time, but move into shallower water when needed to feed. Mostly over creek structure. Fished in the Seibold area and Town Creek. Kept 15 fish that averaged between 13-15 inches in length. Only weighed one, and he was longer and weighed almost 2 pounds. Don't wait around. Go now and start setting a pattern for later. Good fishing, and be safe. Gene.
