Here are a couple of pics of the Spider's new substrate. This time, I used Vermiculite Medium (05/30/02). The spider seemed to take immediate interest with the soft "diggability" of the vermiculite medium.

The substrate is Organic Humus and Manure...this stuff came in a bag for $0.99 for 40#
I'm not sure if this is correct for the spider but it is what the woman at the pet store suggested.



Here is another link to a page with some pics of some "unusual behavior" the spider has been exhibiting ocassionally.
I don't know what it is doing in these pics yet so that is why I call the behavior "unusual".
For all I know this may be a normal spider thing!
