Kosh's Tarantula Page

These are some pics of the Tarantula I rescued from my brother.
Its cage was full of dead crickets and even a dead mouse!
It hadn't been fed or watered in a month, so I got him to give it to me!
I have identified it as a Chilean Rose hair (Grammastola rosea).
I am still in the process of learning about optimal care for this species because I want to make this one as big and lively as possible.
I have had it for about 1 & 1/2 months now and it seems to be doing ok with the water but still not eating.....
If you can help then click the link below and e-mail me!

I think i made it mad in the above pics...
It stuck its rear up in the air and kinda postured at me!!

Well here is a link to a page with some pics of "Rosie"s new home...I don't know if I fixed the place up right or not but,
this is it for now...it's a lot better than the most recent home (no dead crickets or dead mice...and FRESH water)

Here is another link to a page with some pics of some "unusual behavior" the spider has been exhibiting ocassionally.
I don't know what it is doing in these pics yet so that is why I call the behavior "unusual".
For all I know this may be a normal spider thing!

The following is a link to a page with pictures of the web enclosure the spider built in the artificial burrow I made for it.
"Webbed Up"
The spider is at it again Webbed Up Part II

Perhaps this is why the spider webbed itself into the artificial burrow!?  MOLT
