| Credit Evaluation for Jay Fuller (Student # 116814) Communications: EH 101 Completed Wallace State College 1995 (english 101) EH 102 Completed Wallace State College 1996 (english 102) CA 110 Completed Wallace State College 1995 (public speaking) CA 275 Completed USA Fall 1997 (small group discussion) EH 372 Completed USA Spring 1998 (technical writing) Fine Arts / Humanities: According to 1997 Catalog, the following were the requirements for this category: 3.THE FINE AND PERFORMING ARTS AND THE HUMANITIES - (Art, Drama, Foreign Languages, History, Literature, Music, and Philosophy.) Sixteen (16) credit hours are required from these areas with a maximum of twelve (12) credit hours in one field. I have a wide variety of music ranging over a course of four years, enough to easily satisfy the 12-hour requirement of music. Another 4 hours are required from another field - History: HIST 199 Completed Eastern Washington Univ 1994 HIST 104 Completed Wallace State College 1995 Mathematics, Statistics, and Logic: MA 112 Exempt due to MA 120 credit 1996 (pre-cal) MA 120 Completed Athens State College 1997 (bus. cal) ST 210 Completed Wallace State College 1996 (statistics one) ST 310 Completed Wallace State College 1996 (statistics two) PHL 121 Scheduled for Summer, 1999 -- -- (logic) I already attempted PHL 121 once (Winter, 1998, alongside with Economics). I understood the material, but was unable to do well on the tests. I did complete this class, but received a failing grade. Specialization Support Electives: MKT 320 Completed USA Fall 1999 (marketing) MGT 300 Completed USA Fall 1999 (business management) I had just switched to the ITE program in the fall of 1999, however, these courses apply directly to the field I will be entering upon graduation. I already am a founding partner with Cullman.Com, an online news magazine based in Cullman, Alabama. I also assist with web-development including some administrative tasks with the Web Services division of the University. You may ask Jim Kotis, webmaster, for a summary of my work. I believe since I plan to move into upper level management associated with being a webmaster of an online entity which will eventually move into e-commerce, marketing and business management are very viable courses which assist me in specializing in my field of study. General Studies Electives Hours as needed to meet degree and 128-semester-hour requirement. I have transferred in from various other Universities 70.6 semester hours as proven by my last report card. I have passed 38.6 credit hours at the University of South Alabama as proven by my last report card. 70.6 + 38.6 = 109.2 semester hours. 128 are required to graduate. With an average of 4 classes per semester (12 credits), I should have the required semester hours to graduate within 2 semesters. I have summer, fall, and spring semesters remaining until my tentative graduation, which is more than enough time to achieve the 128-hour requirement. Natural Sciences: BLY 103 Completed Wallace State College 1995 (biology) GLY 100 Completed Wallace State College 1996 (geology) Could we substitute the Geology requirement for the Biology requirement? I was working towards the 20 credit hour requirement in IS'97 before transferring. (their answer was no....I needed to take one geology to make a sequence, which is required now) Social Sciences: This requirement was apparently part of the Fine Arts , Performing Arts, et cetera requirement in the 1997 catalog, as there is no mention of it in that catalog. See Natural Sciences, or Fine Arts / Humanities section.
