Jay Fuller - Mobile / Cullman Alabama

My home in college - Mobile Alabama

Mobile, Alabama has definitely been quite a change for me from the ol' smaller city of Cullman. I can remember when I first moved in here in early September being scared to death to even drive my car because Airport Boulevard, the main artery of traffic here in West Mobile, was only 6 lanes! [3 on each side!]. Traffic there was INSANE! However, I eventually learned at adapt to the flow - mainly with the assistance of Jason Elliot and Jennifer Hethcox - two of my first friends here in
Mobile. All you have to do is learn all the alternate routes to get somewhere...like Old Shell or Schillenger? :)  It makes things much easier. :)

Now, as I'm slowly becoming settled in this new environment, I've learned
what a great location this really is...being only about two hours from New Orleans, LA ; only about 45 minutes from Gulf Shores, Alabama [our state's pride beach resort area] or Biloxi, Mississippi [bright town!]. You've also got Pensacola, Florida about an hour south of here.

As to date, I've only been here in Mobile for a little over two months, and although I've learned a lot about the area in two months, I'm sure I'll be adding to this section as I learn more about "my new home". [Believe me, if you lived in a dorm, you'd want to be "out and about" too!] hehe...
