I'm responding to info on Small Graces. I'd love to find CDs of "Matters of the Heart" and "First Things First". Have the LPs but they're worn out. I have the rest of Bob's recordings on CD already (I understand "Non-Fiction" was never released on CD). As a 46 year old pastor with 5 kids, Bob's music has been a tremendous comfort, challenge, and model for me.

Bob's music has always meant a lot to me. I'm hopin' against hope for that Bell/Bennett cross Canada tour so I can finally hear him in person some day.

Thanks for the website Jay and thanks for the many hours of fun, sermon material, worship and meditation Bob.

This is my first time visiting Bob's web page, so I don't quite know what to write since I haven't yet had the opportunity to explore te various aspects of the page. I DO like Bob's music, though, especially considering that he and I are from the same generation.

I just purchased the CD 'Small Graces' sight unseen and that is how I obtained your Web Page. I have only had a little while to listen to it. This recording puts a close perspective on the small things of everyday life that we sometimes forget about. I have listened to 'Bright Avenue' and 'Lord of the Past' many timesand the blend of vocals, guitar and lyrics give off such a peace that it is a joy to now be listening to your new recording. I saw you with Bruce Carroll and Billy Sprague in Knoxville, TN in 1995. You were inspiring. Thanks and keep up your pursuit of the Father.

Just listening to "Small Graces" and dropped by to read while i listened. I emailed you Jay and you can use my story if you want to. Thank God for musicians that have not sold out to the money tree. We are blessed to have "Our Bobby" doing what he does best. God bless Larry http://members.aol.com/HenryClann/island.boy.index.html

I just E-mailed Bob through the netcom address listed on the "Small Graces" CD cover. I guess I should have checked here first for info about his past releases. I think I may have had all of them at one time but I'm sure the tapes are worn out. "Small Graces" is great. The song reminds me of my new not-so-small grace, my 10 month old daughter and all the little special things she does and will do in the future.

I have been a fan of Bob's since his first album which I discovered while working @ a Christian radio station in Louisville, KY. I am always impressed with the vulnerability & insightfulness of the lyrics and love the guitar work. As a person who loves to play around with a guitar, I would love to attend one of those guitar workshops you mentioned. Bob, as one who also thinks and feels deeply, you have often given voice & song to my spirit. God smiles at your offering brother. A brother in Paducah, KY Jeff Wylie

Just ordered Small Graces through Jamsline. Would love to find guitar tab for any of Bob's music. I have figured out several songs on my own, but having the tab would really help.

Bob performed at the Michael Card/Wes King concert in Kokomo, In this past year. I had never heard of him before. My wife and I were blown away with his songs and guitar playing. We both thought, where has this guy been hiding. I bought his CD "Songs from Bright Avenue," at that concert. Later found a new sealed "Matters of the Heart." Recently bought "Small Graces." Would like to find the other two LPs if possible. Would definitly be interested in the vocal guitar album.

Sincerely, A fan

Bob is my favorite artist. I have been listening to him since the early eighties. My first album that I bought was First things First,I hope that it will be available on cd some day God willing. My family and I are truly blessed by his music and lyrics. I have never seen him in concert. I hope to one day. I live in Lewiston, Idaho. It would be awesome to get him here for a concert. There are about 70000 people in the area. Let me know if it is possible to get him here.

I recently put my cassette copy of Bob's "Fist Things First" into the car player. I still remember him playing at Trinity AOG in Baltimore, MD in the early 80's. He touched everyone there with that voice and guitar. We talked about it for years and years. I eagerly await any music from him. This year I plan to bless the congregation of Grace AOG in Bel Air, MD with "The Best" and "My Redeemer Lives" when it is my turn for special music. May God bless him in his life and musical endeavors.

"Small Graces" is a major grace-filled blessing! We've missed you, Bob, for too long, and are over-joyed to have you back with new songs for the soul. Your "Songs from Bright Avenue" remains one of my favorite albums... and as a married man, one which has compelled me to work harder at keeping marriage and family work. CBD had them on sale for a ridiculously low price, and I bought a couple of dozen to give away to people going through the pain of divorce. So, please know that others are being blessed by your sharing your pain and struggle. And even though your "shadow companion" is your companion still, know that many of us are with you through thr many small and large graces you have shown. You are a kind of altar in the field for us to remember. Thank you brother!

Hey Bob, I wanted to tell you that your music has really touched me. After my divorce, I went through a very bad period where I separted myself from the church, my Christian friends, and eventually from my contact with God. When that ended, and I was back in fellowship, I happened across the "Bright Avenue" album, and it said so many things that I felt that no one else seemingly would or could say. I can say it has become a friend, and in the limited, vicarious way that mass media allow, so have you. I look forward to meeting you someday, either here or at Home. In the meantime, may God continue to bless you. Phillipians 1:2 Mike Vande

I really like "Small Graces"! The best songs are "Hand of Kindness" and "Jesus In Our Time", but of course the rest is great as well. It's been worth waiting for. Please don't give my name/address to anybody. I don't need to be on any mailing lists.

Bob, A couple of days ago I was able to purchase another Bob Bennett album, "Small Graces". You CONTINUE to make beautiful and unique music! Your subtle rhythmic shifts, acoustic guitar, and of course your wonderful lead vocal are just what I would expect - nice...very, very nice! (That is to be spoken with a "deep, satisfied, quenched" tone. Not just a cold "good job" type tone).

I was playing your first album some fifteen years ago when I was far away from home on a trip, and trying to hide from God. I "just happen" to be sitting by myself, near a garden with very tall vines, one morning while "The Garden Song" was playing. I felt the gentle voice of God asking me, "why are you hiding". I stopped dead in my tracks and turned to him. And Bob, I continue to cry every time I hear that song because of where I was and how God gently spoke to me through your music. That moment altered my life in a major way. You truely have and continue to express God's tender heart towards us through your music.

I think every song of your's I've heard has a story attached to it, but I don't think I'll go into them all at this time. You're welcome. THANK YOU for enduring and surviving despite the music business. Music IS too wonderful to be controlled by business.

I remember many nights sitting alone in a darkened room listening to the voice of the Lord speaking to me through 'A song about baseball' and the reprise 'Heart of the matter' and I remember thinking I'd Love to have a dad like that. It took me years, but I finally realised that I do have a dad like that, My Heavenly Father! Thanks Bob for sowing the seeds within my heart, and thank you dad for allowing the Holy spirit to persevere with me!!

I would love to speak with someone about booking Bob for one of these smaller venues. I'm thinking about 150-300 people easy would be willing to pay a nominal price to hear and see him then buy his "stuff." I can't believe he doesn't have more of a following. Maybe we coul do womething about that in this area.

Been a Bob Bennett fan since his first album. Wish I had the first two on CD. I just found Small Graces in a Christian bookstore and purchased it immediately. Good to see he is still ministering.
