Where in the world can I get a copy of the following CD's? Matters of the Heart Non-Fiction My tapes are worn out.
I am SO GLAD to hear of a new album. Can't wait to buy it. I wish more Christian artists wrote thoughful material... Blessings to Bob and praise to our Lord Jesus!
I HAVE BEEN A BOB BENNETT FAN FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND HAVE HAD THE CHANCE TO SEE HIM TOUR WITH MICHAEL CARD A COUPLE OF TIMES (ORLANDO, TAMPA). HE WAS SUCH A BLESSING, BUT BECAUSE HE WAS TRAVELING WITH ANOTHER ARTIST, HIS TIME WAS LIMITED. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM AGAIN AND THE NEW ALBUM SOUNDS GREAT. BOB IS A FELLOW CALIFORNIAN AND WHEN I SAW HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME I COULD TELL, HE HAD "OP" FLIP FLOPS ON AND IT MADE ME HOMESICK. BOB HAS LED ME TO MY TRUE HOME, GOD'S PRESENCE, SO MANY TIMES WITH HIS MUSIC. I HAD BEEN CONCRENED ABOUT HIM SINCE THE BRIGHT AVENUE RELEASE. HE SOUNDED SO DOWN AND I JUST WANTED TO LET HIM KNOW THAT GOD HAS BEEN USING HIM MIGHTLY. THANK YOU JAY FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO THAT THROUGH THIS WEB PAGE. MAY GOD BLESS YOUR EFFORTS AND MAY GOD BLESS BOB! ANNE
I am very pleased to have found this website as I am an appreciative fan of Bob's music. The first time I heard Bob sing, was while I was in a treatment hospital for chronic depression and my roommate had a copy of his cassette, the one with THE TROUBLE WITH ME and THERE IS NO SORROW. At the time, I was not aware that I was an Incest survivor, but I was touched at such a deep level be these songs that I could cry and grieve over my own abuse. Thankyou so much for this gift that I know comes from the One who has born our griefs and sorrows and has bound up my bleeding heart with cords that can not be broken. I am and always will be forever grateful to Jesus and to His servant, Bob, for the songs of healing that could touch the depth of my pain when noone else could. Love to you in Jesus, MaryLynn Fay, Butte, MT.
My husband and I appreciate Mr. Bennett's talent, and gentle spirited way of sharing it. The confessional lyrics of his songs have ministered to us more than once. We first saw him during a concert tour with Michael Card in '91 or '92. After Bright Avenue, I wondered if there were any more releases. I also wondered what ever became of him. Glad to know his music continues!
Bob, just wanted to say that I prayed for you and your ministry today.
Bob, I was sooooo embarrassed when I realized what I had done---confusing you with Michael Kelly Blanchard! Please forgive me . My memory doesn't always serve me acurately. The tape that I listened to when in treatment was LORD OF THE PAST. LORD OF THE PAST ministered greatly to me as I was dealing with past memories of abuse. This song gave me much hope! Also, MAN OF THE TOMBS was one that I listened to repeatedly as it gives hope that even the worst cases aren't hopeless when Jesus is there. I love MOUNTAIN CATHEDRALS and MY REDEEMER LIVES! Anyway, I love your songs as they have come from your heart. Thanks and may He richly bless you and give you the desires of your heart as you delight in HIM! In His Love, Mary Lynn Fay, Butte Mt. (that's Butte with a long 'U' sound!)
P.P.S. I also love your song(I hope you wrote this one) IN THE MIDST OF THIS MADNESS I AM DANCING! I love this song and the sentiment that it expresses. Thanks.
Hi!!
Any news on the new release date for Bob's new album????
Any news would be appreciated!
Thanks, Chuck
captivated by Bob's music in the early 1980s ...for his musical gifts I thank God
Jay, I have an album copy of "Non-fiction", and I personally think that it is the best thing that Bob ever did!!! I also have a CD copy of "First Things First", and if you are interested I might be able to tape a copy of both for you. Let me know if you are indeed interested. I'd give my right flipper if "Non-fiction" were ever released on CD!!!
I'd be very interested in a copy of a guitar/vocal recording of some of Bob's stuff, older or newer. I know of a handful of others who would be too. Please do it.
thanks, dave
I am a pastor in the Oklahoma Panhandle. I have loved Bob's music for a number of years, because it is so honest and original. His ability to play the guitar make me want to give up trying, because he is so good. It seems like so much Christian music is a copy of what others have already done, so it is refreshing to hear a guy like Bob who just makes music, and doesn't try to copy another person's style, or to create an alternative to a secular artist. I am sure that it is difficult trying to make good, reflective, subjective music in an industry that shys away from that kind of thing, but keep it up. There are very few artists like you, Bob, who insist on making your listeners dig for the meaning of a song, and apply it to our lives. CCM does nothing but tell us what we're supposed to think of a tune and it's meaning. You keep up the good work, brother, and I will pray for you. I love your music. Jason
I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOUR NEW CD ACOUSTIC/VOCAL RELEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN ITS READY!
I purchased the "Matters of the Heart" album in 1982. Since that time, it has remained one of my favorite albums of all time. I, of course purchased the rest of the available records, but miss Bob's presence in the Christian Contemporary scene. Hope a new album arrives soon!

Hi! First-time visitor...this should be fun! Hi Bob! Hi Jay!
Jay: I need "sounds" by tomorrow on the site! Would that be ok? Lenny Smith
We have followed Bob for many years, and given the opportunity to speak with him several times. I hope to see him come back to the Dallas, Texas area soon. If not, California is not too far to drive to hear him!
