Welcome to our Menagerie.

This is DC, in the bathroom window.
This is our idiot cat, DC. The C stands for Cat and the D does not stand for Darn. We think they used her as a model for Oogie in the "Drabble" cartoon.
This is DC looking out from behind the curtain.
DC used to enjoy laying in our bathroom window cooking in the morning sun. When she finally jumped down, she would singe the hair on your legs rubbing on you. We had to cover the window with aluminum foil in an effort to keep some of the morning heat out during the summer. She has not let us forget about it. After all, DC only lets us live in her house so we can feed her and clean her litter box.
This is DC's normal position.
This is DC's favorite position. Must be nice!!
This is the current Jung Horde.
This is our version of the Jung Horde. The big lump on the left is Mikey. The heathern in the middle is Maggie. Finally, the idiot on the right is Joe. They have a real hard time of it, just like DC. Yeah, right!

We also have various other critters running around. DC has a few buddies who come around and visit several nights a week. It would be funny watching her trying to get out to "play" with them if it weren't the middle of the night. There is a house mouse or two (I wish that was all there was) running around. DC has long gotten tired of chasing them. We used to have a porch opossum, grill birds, and under-the-house snakes. We plan to leave the snakes alone until they decide to come into the house. Then its bye-bye snakey.

In case you were wondering about the grill birds, we had an old barbeque grill on the front porch. A pair of birdies decided that it would be the perfect place to raise their family. After the eggs hatched, you could hear the babies chirping everytime you went out the door. It was great fun when my wife opened the lid to check on the babies and one of them jumped out. Of course, I had to catch it and put it back. We couldn't let any of DC's buddies get it. We sure were glad when they finally learned to fly.

I have tried talking the wife into getting a horse, cow, goat, or something, but she says that I am all the livestock she needs.
