Bachelor of Science (Cum Laude): Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Economics, 1977, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Courses included Investments, Money and Banking, Probability and Statistics, and Econometrics.

Honors have included Alpha Lambda Delta, Pi Mu Epsilon, Blue Key, Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, Elizabeth Patten Scholarship and AAUW Scholarship, Distinguished Woman Award, Eleanor Roosevelt Award.

Former Positions in TVA: Systems and Programmer Analyst, Rate Engineer and Analyst, Engineering Aide. I have worked in Power and Non-Power programs, operating and support organizations. Assignments in Plant Improvement Branch included support assignments/travel to all plant types and Fossil sites. Assignments in Rate Design Branch included Cost of Services and Rate Structure issues.

Other Pertinent Information: Current Director Tennessee Valley Authority Retirement System with service that includes the investment, election, audit, retirement committees; Designated Union Representative in the Engineering Association; Past TVAEA Section Officer. Current teacher/trainer National Association of Investment Clubs (NAIC) and Director of the Alabama State NAIC Board, completed the New York Stock Exchange advanced graduate program, financial advisor for University of North Alabama. Husband Dale Johnson works for TVA.

My goal is to continue working for improvements that include the availability of education for our members, protecting the assets and independence of the Retirement System while providing the best benefits possible for all members within the framework of a sound financial system.
