Red Rocks

Us Southerners don't know anything about rocks and mountains - much less amphatheater-shaped rocks.  Shown to the left is one side of the amphitheater - just like the rock on the other side, which had some people climbing in it while we were there.  Views from Red Rocks were spectacular - and there's plenty more to the place than an amphitheater.  I was particularly imporessed by the world-class outhouses - with concrete flooring and separate facilities for men and women.

There are a number of hiking trails well worth exploring - plenty to do for next time :-)

Haze covered downtown Denver this particular afternoon, and the view was still spectacular.  Squint, and you can see the white peaks of Denver International Airport off in the distance above the right side of downtown.
