BellyJelly Electric Guitars - The OddBoy Series

What is an OddBoy?

An OddBoy is the combined features from all of my favorite guitars. The electrics are inspired by Strat's, Tele's, and Les Paul's. The curves in the body are all inspired and traced from my favorite guitars. All in all there's about 5 different guitars rolled into the design.

The result is a very versitile guitar that feels like it's already 25 years old. That probably has a lot to do with the fact that the guitars that inspired it are from the late 70's and early 80's. By far, the biggest challenge was getting the neck to feel right. It had to combine the profile from one neck, the frets from a second, and the radius from a third. I'm still in the process of perfecting that.

Specifications

String Scale : typically 25 1/8" which seems the natural choice for the best of both worlds.
Neck : typically hard Maple with occational Poplar, and Oak with Pau Ferro and Ebony fretboards. Unfinished, or finished with hand rubbed gunstock oil and carnauba wax.
Body : typically Alder or Poplar Maple, occasionally Ash. Finished with Polyeurethane or Lacquers.
Electronics : Two humbuckers and one modified single coil to coax a little more twang from them.
