  • Given the I/O requirements, a PIC16LF873-04I might be a better choice because of the greater number of I/O pins. Maybe next year when they're available . . .

• 74HC series supporting ICs
  • May change to 74LVC series or similar, if available in DIP packages, for reduced power consumption.
