Rebecca Stewart's Will
(from Ritchie Co., WB 2, p.344)

I, Rebecca Stewart, of Beech Grove, Ritchie County West Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say:
First: I will devise and bequeath that of my farm of sixty seven and one half acres on waters of Bonds Creek, my son Aaron N. Stewart shall have thirty acres, and that the remainder of said farm shall be divid equally between my two daughters Emma Alice Stewart, and Ida Belle Stewart with this proviso, that is to say should oil ever be produced from the land willed to my said daughters, they shall pay to each of my daughters Virginia Ann Stewart and Sarah Francis Stewart, fifty dollars.
Second: I hereby nominate and appoint my said son Aaron N. Stewart executor of this my said last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name and affixed my seal this 5th day of January, 1901.

Ritchie County Court Clerks office April 24th 1902.
A writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Rebecca Stewart, deceased, was this day produced before me in my office for probate and Jacob Rickey and Joseph M. McKinney the subscribing witnesses to said Will appeared before me in my said office and bring by me duly sworn and having said Will before them on oath say that they were present and saw the said Rebecca Stewart sign her name to said Will and that they at her request, and in her presence and in the presence of each other signed their names as witnesses thereto.
Whereupon said writing is admitted to probate and ordered to be recorded as the last Will and Testament of Rebecca Stewart, deceased, and Aaron N. Stewart who was by the said last Will and Testament appointed Executor thereof appeared before me and declined to qualify as such Executor.
