I, John P. Stewart, of Clay District, Ritchie County W. Va. being of sound and
disposing mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last Will
and Testament in manner following, that is to say
First: I will devise and bequeath all my property both personal and real, after
the payment of my lawful debts and funeral expenses, to my son J. L. Stewart.
Second: Out of my said estate I will that my said son shall provide a comfortable living for his mother and that he shall pay to each of my other living children (Eight in no.) fifty dollars and to each of the children of my daughter Laverna C. Riley the sum of one dollar.
In witness whereof I have hereto signed my name and affixed my seal this 31st day of January, 1895.

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of John P. Stewart, deceased, late of Ritchie County, West Virginia, was this day produced before me in my office and W. H. Piles and J. M. McKinney the subscribing witnesses to said Will appeared before me in the office and bring me duly sworn on oath say they men present and saw the said John P. Stewart sign his name to said Will and they at his request, and in his presence and in the presence of each other signed their names as witnesses thereto.
Whereupon said writing is admitted to probate and ordered to be recorded as the last will and testament of John P. Stewart, deceased.
