The Fuselage – Page 3

Landing gear supports were added. I increased the tab size on the inner supports by 3/8” to make sure there was plenty of edge margin after holes were drilled.

Dural angle was added to the aft side of the firewall as the engine mount support.  I am using an engine mount for an L-2 Taylorcraft. No spacers are needed between the fuse sides and the mount supports.

Holes were drilled for the mount. These holes end up about even with and just inboard of the longerons with this mount.

Seat parts were cut and glued together. Mine differs from the plans very slightly. First, I added stiffeners to the back and bottoms. Also, because I mistakenly built former 5 too high, my seat bottom will not go back thru station 5 so I moved the block on which the seat adjusts forward by one notch so that it would engage into a complete notch when the seat is fully forward rather than behind the last notch. You can see in the picture pencil marks where the block should be per plans and obviously where I put it. I also used a single longer piece of hinge rather than 2 short sections and I hinged it from the top rather than on the bottom.
