We are pleased to welcome our new Pastor and Head of Staff at Grace Presbyterian Church, Rev. Robin Palmer. She attended Columbia Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity in 1995 with an emphasis in pastoral care. Robin is married to David Palmer who is also a Presbyterian Minister. He is currently serving a call as Associate Presbyter of North Alabama Presbytery and Camp Maranatha Executive Director.
The Rev. Robin Palmer has been an ordained pastor in the PC(USA) for six years and has been serving as pulpit supply for the North Alabama Presbytery during that time. She has been serving as Administrative Assistant for the Maranatha Camp and Conference Center. Robin has an extensive background in working with youth from her 5 years of dedication at Camp Maranatha and from her roles as Summer Youth Director at First Presbyterian Church in Athens, AL and Youth Ministry Interim at First Presbyterian Church in Marietta, GA.
Robin has also served as a chaplain in the Huntsville Hospital System. She initiated and serves as a chaplain on the Volunteer Chaplaincy Program for the Jackson County Healthcare Authority in Scottsboro, AL. She is currently the chair of the board for the Vine Pastoral Counseling Center in Madison, AL.
The Rev. Palmer brings all this experience to her call to lead and guide us at Grace. She begins her ministry at Grace on August 3.
