Ona May LAYTON

This photograph is of Ona May (Layton) Page and her grandson Alfred Goff taken early 1930s.
Ona May is the youngest daughter of Thomas Foster and Julia Ann Layton.
Ona May was born July 14, 1870 in Kirbyville, Taney County, Missouri.
She died March 31, 1935 in Baker City, Baker County, Oregon.
She is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Baker City.
She is my great grandmother.

    ter Survive

  Mrs. Joseph Page, resident of Ba-
ker for many years, died at her
home, 2334 Seventh street, at 10:20
Sunday night. She had been in poor
health for several years, but her
death came unexpectedly.
  Ona May Layton was born in Kir-
byville, Missouri July 14, 1870. She
came to Oregon 34 years ago and
moved to Baker in 1916.
  Mrs. Page, who was married to
Joseph Page in April, 1902 in Weis-
er, Idaho, was a member of the
Methodist Episcopal church, South
and the Neighbors of Woodcraft
lodge.
  The deceased is survived by her
husband; a son, Arlet; a daughter,
Mrs. William Goff, both of Baker;
two sisters, Mrs. Belle McElroy of
Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Alice
Hindman of Baker; a brother, Claude
Layton of Houston; 10 grandchild-
ren and two great grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held at 2
p.m. Tuesday in the West and
company parlors with Rev. Joseph
H. Coulter of the
Methodist Episco-
pal church officiating. Interment
will be in Mt. Hope cemetery. The
body may be viewed at the family
home until 1 p.m. Tuesday.
