Jane

intellectual,
oh, she most certainly is
- that look in her eye

 * * * * * * *

What look might that be?
Her heart shining through her eyes
when she smiles at me.

Urgent sensation.
Longing? Anticipation?
Past or future kiss?

Karin

Sometimes my heart aches,
crying for a lost playmate;

after all these years.

Autumn embraces Spring,
Revels in Her consent.

Footprints

Wandering spirits.
broken windows, empty house,

Cry Softly

Mother died today,
imperfect love amended.
I cry, but softly

heart bent in childhood,
old hurts always close at hand -
she gave what she could

now her earth and sky
disperse throughout the heavens -
light for the true eye

slipping sliding; rising still -
sunset silhouettes

Cloud to Ground

the movement of air,
winds aloft and turbulence -

the leap of white fire!

(for John)

yokia winds blow
west to east and heart to heart -
reminds me of home
