Yes this is my real mane!
Mom and Daddy keep it braided for me.

We acquired Ryan in 1994 as a two year old. He had been previously labeled, typically, "mean" and "crazy". Along with Ryan came horror stories of how he ran his previous owner down in the barn and tried to paw him to death, how no one could handle him without a stud chain and whip...... the ugly tales go on. We bought him for nearly nothing, brought him home, and Stanley rode him the same night. Bear in mind he'd never had a saddle on his back, nor a bit in his mouth, or ANY kind of ground training. Ryan's previous owners were afraid of him. Being extremely intelligent, Ryan sensed that fear and took full advantage of it. However, he has known right from the start that we had his number, because he's never shown us a mean bone in his body in all the years we've had him. And we have three kids who have been all over him. He has given us six foals and their dispositions are all outstanding and they've all been beautiful. Our daughters each own one of his babies, Kristy claims Tadpole (Twister) and Randa claims Melody. Both horses have grown up to be NBHA World qualifiers and have earned many awards and achievements over the past few years.
