   Some people stereotype Arabian horses as being "crazy".  Or "stupid".  Or "mean".  A very wise person once told me that the people who say those things are obviously not as smart as the Arabian horses that they have tried to deal with.  I've come to believe that this is the honest truth.  Sure, I've met a few "crazy" Arabs.  But I've also met a few "crazy" Quarter horses, Paints, Morgans, ponies........  You have "crazy" horses in EVERY BREED.  The superior intelligence of the Arabian horse is often misinterpreted as "ornryness".  When in fact, they're simply smart enough to know what they want, what they don't want, intelligent enough to find ways to GET the things they want, and get OUT of things they don't want.  Arabians are the purest breed of horse due to the strict requirements and standards of the Arabian Horse Registry.  There's no "switching papers" on an Arabian horse thanks to blood typing and DNA testing.  Despite the strong prejudice against the Arabian here on Sand Mountain, I'm very proud to be an Arabian owner.  People just don't know, and I consider it their loss.  I'm especially proud of the beautiful Arabians on this page.  I hope you enjoy looking at them as I've certainly enjoyed creating this page.
