Mallet Assembly (my unofficial page)
I'm an Electrical Engineer. I graduated from the University of Alabama in December, 2001. I am employed by the U.S. Army as a civilian Electronics Engineer. I design things, I break things, I fix things, I build things, I test things, I write things, and most importantly, I blow things up. If you need to know anything else, look at my resume, or email me; my address is dkudrav 'at' hiwaay 'dot' net.
Other sites I visit sometimes:
Satan's Laundrymat - Not the site you think it is. Excellent photography of NYC.
"The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them." -- Mark Twain
"The Earth is just too small and fragile a basket for the human race to keep all its eggs in." -- Robert Heinlein
"Man must reach for the stars, else he will wither and die." -- Robert Heinlein
"As a matter of constitutional tradition, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, we presume that governmental regulation of the content of speech is more likely to interfere with the free exchange of ideas than to encourage it. The interest in encouraging freedom of expression in a democratic society outweighs any theoretical but unproven benefit of censorship." -- Justice John Paul Stevens, writing for the majority, strikedown of the Communications Decency Act; June 26, 1997.
"Denying millions of law-abiding people the use of a legitimate and increasingly necessary security product for "law enforcement" reasons is like banning deadbolt locks because they make it a little harder to kick down the doors of a few drug dealers." -- Conrad Burns, U.S. Senator (R-Mont.) in an August 9, 1996 letter to the Washington Post on cryptography.
"This time is unique in our history, in any civilization's history: the moment of the acquisition of technology. The moment when contact becomes possible." -- Ellie Arroway (Jodie Foster), from the movie "Contact"
"But does Man have any right to spread through the universe? Man is what he is, a wild animal with the will to survive, and (so far) the ability, against all competition. Unless one accepts that, anything one says about morals, war, politics--you name it--is nonsense. Correct morals arise from knowing what man is--not what do-gooders and well-meaning old Aunt Nellies would like him to be. The Universe will let us know--later--whether or not Man has any right to expand through it." -- Juan (Johnny) Rico of Starship Troopers, by Robert Heinlein
"There are hidden contradictions in the minds of people who 'love Nature' while deploring the 'artificialities' with which 'Man has spoiled "Nature." ' The obvious contradiction lies in their choice of words, which imply that Man and his artifacts are not part of 'Nature' -- but beavers and their dams are. But the contradictions go deeper than this prima-facie absurdity. In declaring his love for a beaver dam (erected by beavers for beavers' purposes) and his hatred for dams erected by men (for the purposes of men) the 'Naturist' reveals his hatred for his own race -- i.e. his own self-hatred." -- Robert Heinlein
