10/1997 Nathaniel has written at least 3 "Dragon" short stories. This is the 3rd in that series. The first one was most involved and was "written" when he was about 6 by dictation to me. If I can find it I'll post it, too. (I think I sent a copy to my mother.) "The Dragon (Part III)" by Nathaniel Richard Patton (at age 8) Once upon a time there was a Dragon and he looked so sad. He told me why he was so sad; he said, "I have no friends, and when I do get friends I always break their toys or lose them and then they don't want to be my friend any more, because I keep on breaking and losing their toys. I said, "I know someone who can help you." "Who?" he asked. "Me," I said. "I can be your friend." He said, "You won't be my friend for long. I'll break your toys, too." I said, "I know a wizazrd and he doesn't live far from here. Maybe he can help you. Why don't you see if he can help you. Maybe you can ask if he can make you smaller. Let's go see him now." The End
