Smith Cemetery
(also known as the Macedonia Cemetery)

Township 10 South, Range 1 East, Section 2

Location: From McLarty in extreme Northwest Blount County, go one mile Northwest just before the Marshall County line on County Road 35. The cemetery is in a pasture at the top of a hill behind a house belonging to Mr. Franklin. There is no right of way up to the cemetery; you have to stop at his house, ask permission, and then go through a gate. Mr. Franklin said he had lived there 60 years and he didn't think the cemetery had a name. Melvin Jones called this cemetery the Smith Cemetery. Franklin said there use to be another monument with the name Frasier [Frachiseur?] which he says family members moved to nearby Highmound Cemetery. However, the other monument could not be located at Highmound.
