Old Siloam Cemetery
(also known as Nation Cemetery)

Township 11 South, Range 1 East, Section 9

Location: On Highway 79 about one mile North of the Oak Grove Methodist Church, and then West on a ridge. The cemetery can't be seen from the highway.

This cemetery is located on a steep ridge in a cow pasture surrounded by a waist high rock wall. The landowner, Mr. Mead, also has it enclosed with an electric fence to keep out the cattle. Mr. Mead does a good job of keeping up the cemetery; the day before the cemetery was revisited on 20 Apr 2002, he had cleaned the cemetery of brush and leaves. He graciously granted permission for the author to visit the cemetery.

This was the former site of the Siloam Primitive Baptist Church.
