Mead Cemetery

Township 10 South, Range 1 East, Section 11

Location: Near the intersection of Highways 67 and 231, on private property in the woods at the top of a hill behind a house near a tin storage building.

Only one grave is marked with a readable monument, there are several unmarked graves including one monument box-type grave. Family legend has it many of the early Sterling family are buried there including Silas Sterling (1762 - ca 1858), a Revolutionary War soldier who moved to Blount County in 1817...(and Robin's GGGGGrandfather)
