17 February 2004 - I have installed the first major mechanical component on the frame. This is a major turning point in the project. Going from all disassembly and restoration to reassembly. I had to just stare at it a while.

February 20 2004 - Here is a side shot of the assembled parts so far.

29 February 2004 - Here another shot of the painted frame.

5 March 2004 - Here is the bike with the tank, seat, and kneepads installed. Things are starting to take shape.

April 6 2004 - Today I installed the engine in the frame. I installed the front sidecar mount lower bolt. This holds the engine in the frame. When I got my bike my bolt was missing. I was told a /2 bolt would work. If you notice on the following photo's the bolt appears longer than it should be. I do not know if this would be the correct length if you had an R12 with footboards. If is use it as is I will have to make spacers. The other option is to have it cut to the correct length and rethread it. The second photo shows the ball end. The bolt not fully installed in this photo. The third photo shows the threaded end under the same condition.

April 11 2004 - This weekend I completed a large portion of the reassembly of the bike. I installed the magneto, driveshaft, transmission, and preheating tubes. I also started to terminate some of the wiring.
