Reading is Fundamental
A Whopping Big Stack of Books
!
If you're like me (and I know I am), you read a lot.
If you don't read a lot - start doing so! Immediately! I'm serious about this! Reading is one of the primary ways we expand our minds and continue our education. Even if you're just reading something for fun, you're liable as not to learn something out of it. So go read something. Don't worry, we'll wait for you.

See? Wasn't that enjoyable?
There are several resources for books, periodicals & authors on the Web Thingy. Here's just a handful:
- The Bible Online - THE hands-down most important book ever published, and, for many (including me), the authoritative Word of God. This site has the entire book available for quick reference, in several different versions.
- Bookwire is an excellent source for book and author information, reviews, and lots of links!
- Also, who can live without the dictionary? This site has an on-line look-up for Webster's Dictionary.
- You can always visit a publisher to check up on the newest releases. Here's a page for Bantam/Doubleday/Dell. And here's one for Random House. And one for Simon & Schuster/Pocket Books.
- Okay, you know what you want to read. Where can you get it? Try Amazon Books, where you can find practically anything. Or try Books-a-Million, one of the largest "book superstore chains" in the country. And don't forget Barnes and Noble.
- Mayhaps you're more into magazines. If so, there are hundreds of them out there, ranging from Time and Newsweek to People to Premiere to TV Guide to Mad and even The National Enquirer.
- Even if you just want to read the comics, that's fine too! You can check out the latest from the Big Two comics publishers, DC Comics (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc) and Marvel (Spider-Man, Captain America, The Hulk, etc). Or, if you prefer, you can just read the funny pages from your local paper
- Finally, speaking of newspapers, here's the online edition of the local paper, The Decatur Daily. There's also an on-line version of the nearby Huntsville Times. And other more national papers are on-line as well, including The Washington Post, The New York Times and USA Today.
Now if you'll excuse me, I left off at a really interesting chapter.
