Bishop, a wee pup

Bishop is the youngest rescue that we have had here at STRNA. He was brought to us from several states away, at the tender age of 3 months old. His previous owner, never having had a Scottie pup before *though they had owned older Scotsmen* They weren't prepared for a black ball of boundless energy going non stop all day and all night. When their battle with cancer got too bad for them to handle, the puppy had to be let go. It was a sad time for all, but they were doing what was best for the family at the time. As odd as it may sound, most people who rescue have a great deal of respect for someone who can actually realize that they aren't doing what is best for their pets.

Bishop has been with us almost a year now and is almost ready to go. He is full of boundless energy and plays well with all the other dogs here at STRNA. He wears a costume at Halloween *a flying monkey* and has won several awards and prizes. His favorite playmates are the ferrets that live here. He also gets along well with cats. He is crate trained and housebroken and never meets a stranger. Hopefully someday soon, he will have a home of his own, but for now, he is happy living out his days with the gang here at STRNA.
