New Complete Rescue Packet
Tools for Rescuers

As a rescuer myself, I can not tell you how important it is to keep accurate paper work on the animals that you take in.  This not only keeps you from possible legal action if someone decides that they didn't really want to give up their dog after all, and it also makes keeping up with who, when, where and how things are done much easier. When I first started doing rescue, it took me months of researching on the internet to find the paperwork that I needed.  And then I still had to spend hours re-formatting and compiling and changing the paperwork that I had to reflect Scottish Terrier Rescue and the needs specific to my breed.  After all that work I decided, that I would try to keep a comprehensive list of the forms that I had online for other rescuers to find in one place.  So here it is, the New Complete Rescue Packet.  This contains forms for almost any situation that you could imagine.  From screening phone calls about particular dogs, to doing the community a favor and offering a "Listing to Place" when owners need to place their dogs, but aren't ready to give them over to rescue yet.  They are all here, and they are all free for you to modify and use as you see fit.  Add to or take away from, make them suitable for Doberman rescue or for Pomeranian rescue, it doesn't matter.  And no credit is necessary.  Just take the individual forms that you need and use your own word processor to modify them as you need to.  Its as simple as that.  And if you ever see a form online somewhere, or your organization has one that we don't have, please do let me know.  I try to keep this list as current as possible.  Its all for you, the fellow rescuers who give all those needy pets second chances as first rate pets.
