We offer a lifetime commitment not only to our rescue dogs but to our adoptive families as well. Each dog is special, and has come from special circumstances. We have worked very hard to make them adoptable and we want to extend that commitment even after the dog has left our care. With all the hard work, training, medical screening and treatments that we give our dogs, not to mention their own worthiness as individuals, we don't want them to ever be thrown away again. Therefore for each animal that we place, we require that if you are ever in a position that your family can not take care of this animal anymore, or the owner dies, the dog comes back to STRNA to be rehomed. That is our level of commitment to these dogs. We also let our owners know that if anytime the adoption doesn't work out or they are having problems, we are here for support. Not only moral support, but also with our knowledge of training and behavior. We are more than happy to work with you to correct unforeseen behavior problems should they ever arise. And if worse comes to worse and you see that you just aren't able to keep the dog, we always gladly take our dogs back into our care. We realize that sometimes families are faced with circumstances beyond their control, and none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. So we always keep our hearts and homes open to take our dogs back. We feel that it is the right and responsible thing to do. |
