Jasper, the Catahoula

Jasper is a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dog. He showed up as a stray, on Christmas day.  He was starving, there had been ice all over everything, and it was melting so he was wet and cold as well. I started to just leave some food out for him, but I ended up putting him in the kennel and going to my moms for Christmas dinner. When I got back, I fully expected him to be gone, but he wasn't. He was still in the kennel, just wagging his gently curling tail.

He was a young dog, about a year to a year-and-a-half old, and extremely sweet. And I have never met a more intelligent dog. You only have to tell him about twice, and he'll never forget. He has also been trained to pull a cart, and has just recently moved inside to be a "house dog". All 80 lbs of him. He is a VERY good house dog. Very calm and gentle, not rambunctious at all. He's UTD on all his shots, heartworm prevention and so on. He will be neutered before placement. Did I mention he sleeps in the bed with me at night? He also gets along well with the other dogs and the cats.
