ASCA will host its first ever Summit on Girls in Quiz Bowl on Saturday, September 29, at Sylacauga High School.  The Summit will feature guest speaker Robin Crews Wilson, a panel discussion led by former and current quiz bowlers, and a mini-tournament for current players.









Current and former players, as well as coaches, are encouraged to attend and to complete the survey developed by our President, Kate Wilson. Follow the links below to complete the survey and to register for the conference.

During a summer work session, the ASCA Board of Directors developed guidelines for selecting All-Star Teams and a coach to represent our state in national tournaments and spelled out how we would support them.  Follow the link for full details.










The ASCA Board also clarified rules and procedures in response to situations that arose at ASCA tournaments during the previous year.  Follow the links to see updated rules and procedures, as well as a detailed explanation of what ASCA considers "cheating" and how we will deal with that situation in the future.

Middle school league question sets from NAQT will be available for Alabama schools again this year.  NAQT has slated delivery of sets to ASCA by mid-September.  Contact Josh Rutsky for more information.
