WHO WE ARE
The Eastside church of Christ is made up of Christians striving to be obedient to God's will as He has revealed to us in His Word. We worship God "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24). We "walk by faith and not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). We believe the Bible to be error free, for God who cannot lie (Titus 1:2), inspired all Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16).
Our goal is to "fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man" (Ecclesiastes 12:13), "so that in all things God may be glorified" (1 Peter 4:11). We believe that God's word, which is truth (John 17:17), is the standard by which we will all be judged (John 12:48). We strive to use Bible commands, examples, and necessary inferences to determine how we will worship and serve Him.
We believe that Scriptures teach that:
~ God is our Creator and sustainer of life (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 121:2, 19:1, 33:6-9)
~ Jesus Christ is God's son and our Savior because He died for the remission of our sins (1 Timothy 1:15, Matthew 1:21, Acts 4:12)
~ the Holy Spirit guided the apostles unto all the truth when the Bible was recorded (John 16:13, 14:26)
The harmony of the scriptures clearly reveal what all men should do to find forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation in heaven with God.
We believe that the church serves as "the pillar and support of the truth." (1 Tim 3:15) Its nature and purpose is for man's spiritual nature, not physical. For this reason, the church at Eastside is an autonomous body of believers who choose to collectively use Lord's day contributions toward that end. We do not send contributions to institutions governed by a board of directors and under their control.

IF a simple worship of: Bible teaching; approaching God in prayer; singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; and remembering Christ's death, burial, and resurrection in the Lord's supper every first day of the week appeals to you, then check us out!
IF you want to be spiritually strengthened by a study of God's word as well as edified through worship with other Christians, then you are always welcome! Visitors are a great encouragement!
