Thank you for visiting our due South web page!
We have retired our guestbook for now. Lots of fans have asked us over the years to create a message board forum where they could gather and discuss the show in a more active format. After lots of reluctance, we decided to go ahead and give it a shot. If you would like to leave us comments, or discuss the show with other fans, please swing by our Thank you everyone who left us messages in our guestbook! |
Hi!,i am in the middle of collecting support for a letter and petition to be sent to Paul, and someone suggested this site to me. Its not going to try and put pressure on Paul at all its just that he said in a webchat last year that he would still like to do a follow-up episode of Due South in the next couple of years to catch-up with some of the characters. so i thought now might be a good time to show him how many of us are still watching, enjoying and discussing the show.If you would like to support this idea please send me an email with your full name, town/city, county/state/area and country and i will add you to the list. Thank-you Kindly!, Claire.

Hi there!
I'm a Canadian Due South fan (yes, we do exist!) and currently watching the show on Tvtropolis. I was too young to watch the show when it originally aired but I've completely fallen in love with it now.
Living in Canada, I have to say that I've only ever seen the serge at ceremonies and the officers always wear regular clothing (black pants with yellow stripe, grey shirt and bullet proof vest) when they are on patrol. I've always been intrigued by the RCMP since I have a few family friends who are/were officers. If only they were all as good looking as Fraser!
Thanks for putting this site up because it provides so much information about my new favourite show. The site is great!

Great Website!
Yes, I agree with everyone that says ITV3 is good for showing Due South - although the badly placed adverts are annoying and the fact that that made each episode alot longer than when it was on the BBC - but it's a shame they are stopping it.
Great show - shame they stopped making it a long time ago

Sorry to do another entry so quickly. As I scan the entries here, I'm seeing a TREMENDOUS amount of people from the U.K. & there-abouts. I saw a man from Finland & one from Poland. BUT WHAT ABOUT CANADA & U.S.? Is it because they're not even doing the re-runs here anymore?
Just found it disturbing, I mean the word Canadian being in RCMP & all. Glad to see such a following & I'm envious that they're showing in the UK. But again, that's why I've got episodes 1-3 (purchase on E-Bay). Sometimes I'll have Due South (Like Lord Of The Rings) marathons. Even my Wife likes it a bit. (Tho' she hates fiction.
Peace to ALL Due South-ers! -Lone Wolf ;p~

Subject: Due South - THANY YOU!!!
I am absolutely floored & extatic that you two have created such a WONDERFUL site. The people of Due South should certainly be appreciative & impressed to say the least.
Been a while since my favorite show was taken off the air, but by God - - as cheesy as it may sound, I learned something from ol' Benton Frazier.
Now, I'm going to be 37 here on the 29th, and Mom & Dad did a pretty good job of raising me. But because of Benny, I've learned to be a little more tolerant, more willing to help the less fortunate. Sure people have always said "you're such a nice man", but I'm better than I was & still "morphing" into something else.
WHY do we not have more HEROES as his character is portrayed, would it not make the world a little easier to maneuver through?
I thank you all very kindly for putting this together - keep the hope alive. Have either of you met any of the actors/actresses yet? YOU REALLY DESERVE TO! :)
(I asked for the 4th season DVD) for my B-Day, I think I'll be getting it.)
Be safe, be well. . .

Greetings All
I would like to 2nd Helen's thanks to ITV3. This series will never age and is still eminantly watchable even after the 3/4 time. The humor is brilliant, it is the best "buddy-buddy" series ever and not only that it reminds the USA that it has been defeated in war by the British, after all why "The White House". Unfortunately the British were not strong enough to regain the colonies.
Love to all DSers

Hi all Due South fans
Would like to say a big thank you to ITV 3 for showing DS again (currently just started season 3 again) and am hoping that once Call of the Wild has been shown that they will start again with the Pilot. Come on ITV 3 How about it???
Personally I prefer Seasons 3 and 4 as I think Callum's character is as wacky as Fraser. And they work well together. But each to their own and I do love watching Season 1 and 2 also.
It was great to read Tom's message from last year. Nice to see he cares about us DS Fans.
Anyhow, this site is awesome, and long may it continue

Delighted to see your excellent site still thriving......
Just dropped by to browse & look up some episode titles, but while I'm here........
.....although it's great to see "Due South" get a second consecutive re-run here, on ITV 3, again they're missing out episodes (the same ones as last time around) and now they're airing some out of sequence too.(faulty or damaged disks at ITV3, perhaps ? ;-) A minor gripe, maybe.
Best wishes to all fans of the show, wherever you are,

Hi all
Noticed recently that the "Due South" box sets are being advertised in a couple of big uk weekly mags on behalf of a large chain of CD/DVDetc outlets... The ITV3 re-runs must be getting good enough ratings to warrant the promotion......

To Mikey the Pikey
I found all the boxed sets of Due South on E-Bay. Brand new and factory sealed from the States. Also both vol 1 and vol 2 sound tracks from the series.
You will need a multiregion DVD player for region one discs.
Nice to see I am not the only one who loves this show! I have also been watching it on itv3 and the last episode is on tuesday! (Get your hankies ready!)
Its great to be able to watch the DVDs whenever you want, and you see loads of things that you missed first time round! (Great Diefenbaker moments!)
I hope you get your boxed sets.
Thank you kindly

I was searching to find how popular Due South was in the States and arrived here
Despite this excellent site’s myriad of Q&A’s I’m still not sure, so could one of the connoisseurs tell me? Also what was the real reason why the original Ray Vecchio left the show?
I can’t remember why I didn’t see many episodes the first time around in the 90’s, but now ITV3 is airing it every weeknight at the moment it’s become essential viewing (the only other for me in recent years is ‘Lost’)
As the world gets less tolerant ‘Due South’ seems to get more endearing
All the characters are so well cast
Paul Gross epitomises what we imagine a Mountie is.
Even if the show’s ethos is a bit bazaar and incongruous at times it’s superb and has such a ‘feel good’ factor about it.
If I had to pick a favourite skit, then maybe when misguided Benny handed a posy to bossy boots Thatcher and his embarrassed get-out was to say ‘I found these’ Just classic!

To Caroline and Apple.
I e-mailed ITV about muddling the episodes and this is the reply I got from the duty officer a couple of weeks ago:
"Dear Ann
...According to our records these programmes are being transmitted in the correct order, Bounty Hunter is eps. 5 and Seeing is believing is eps. 6. I cannot find any of the other programmes being transmitted, but have noted your comments."
There was nothing to explain any of the other episodes being muddled up. Let me know if they have another explanation when they reply to you.

Is any body else as peeved as I am about how the romances ended up on due south? We waited all through 4 series to see frannie get benny, (and she didn't), stan so should have gotten stella (ray got her instead ) and am I the only one who thinks ray should have gotten susan gibneys character in "you must remember this" ?

Hi, I unlike you lucky guys don't get itv 3 , but I have been ringing and emailing itv to persuade them to put ds on itv one, its well worth it to open it up to a whole new audience as well as getting them to finally play it in its correct order! Let them take off some of the rubbish they have on and put pure quality in its place! I say we all ring together eh? Also paul was supposed to be filming over here but I heard he's changed his mind, in view of all these new fans (as well as us ol´ timers lol ) and as paul has been asked when he will come to the uk again by tons of people on webchats, I would ask you to ask about this possibility and the chance of a ds reunion ( so francesca can finally get her man ) to info@whizbangfilms.com and see if he won't buckle under high demand!

Hey, I'm Rebecca and I just wanted to say that your site is awesome! I've been into Due South for a little while and was introduced to the likes of Fraser, Ray and Diefenbaker by my sister. Now we get very depressed during the weekends from DS withdrawn syndrome but the fact that there are two episodes per weekday kinda compensates for that. I was very tempting to do the Due South drinking game today, seeing as it's Saint Paddy's Day today, but I'm ill with a stomach bug so I'd better not =(
I'd better go now, I love your site! <333

Me and my son used to watch Due South on BBC. We have always remenbered it with great affection, it's quirky humour and the relationship between Frasier and Ray. So we have been delighted to watch it on ITV 3, to discover we were not wrong; it is as good if not better than we remembered. Favourite episode? The mounties on the train.!!

I'd like to add my voice to those who praised this site for it's attention to detail as well as simply being here to celebrate one of my very favourite TV shows........
I'd like to agree with Caroline (below) who is somewhat exasperated by ITV 3 missing out episodes during it's current run, including (so far) "Holiday in Chicago" [both parts]:- a heinous crime:- this is one of my favourites- and, they've also skipped "An eye for an eye" despite it being listed in the onscreen program guide....
As for a topic which seems to have divided people:
During the show's BBC run some time back, I missed a lot of the Callum Keith Rennie episodes, very few of which were repeated, so I reserve judgement to a degree on the 'which was the best era', but I think the interplay between Fraser and Ray Mk 1 as portrayed by David Marciano would be hard to beat.
Anyhow, Thank you kindly for putting the site up, W & E and long may you run.

It's great to find a dueSouth website that's actually still running, never mind one that's so informative! This is a great site, well done. I used to watch dueSouth on the Beeb and now I catch it on ITV3 even though I own most of the original episodes on video. There seem to be 3 different types of dueSouth fans - those who love it all, those who prefer Seasons 1 and 2 with David Maricano and those who prefer Seasons 3 and 4 with Callum Keith Rennie. I'm a David Marciano era fan; for me, dueSouth is Benny and Ray. The show also had an edge to it that (in my opinion) it lost when Marciano left, and the episodes became lighter and the show more focused on comedy. Flashback was the last dueSouth episode in my mind. It's great to read peoples views on the different 'eras' though and find a site that covers it all. Thanks! :D

I love it all, the pictures, the comments, the information about DVD realeses. I am able to catch the series on ITV3 in England at the moment so I am totally happy.I am finding it a little difficult getting used to Fraser having a different partner as I thought Ray was the perfect foil but I am sticking with it.

Too bad the European release didn't have any commentaries etc. but having the all the episodes of the first season is kind of enough as it is. Such a quality show. Just watched an episode of Due South, the one where Benton
meets the only woman he loved, (saved her in a snow storm, and then arrested her).
Anyway he meets her again in Chicago and they get together.
In the background there is a song, some of the words are "I'll take your breath away" and "close your eyes" sung by a female, does anyone know this song and artist, it's superb.
Please E-Mail me if you do,

Hi i came across this site while looking for things about due south, so i thought i'd leave a message, i found on this link http://www.tv.com/due-south/show/305/there-is-a-chance-of-a-reunion-show./topic/404-183642/msgs.html that due south might be coming back for a one off special tv reunion movie,
take from a chat show
I know it’s been asked before, but are there any plans for a Due South reunion movie or special?
We still talk about it from time to time but I've got a couple of things to do before we could get serious about that. I'd like to do it at some point. Maybe in a couple of years.
plus Paul Ross talks about it on the dvd commentary about a maybe one off special.
so lets hope they do make it cos its a great show, hey if they can bring back shows like battlestar galactica, then why don't they bring back Due South :o)

In June 2000, I was (and still am) so much into DueSouth that when our son was born, the only name we could agree upon was Benton Fraser. Five years later, Benny's name is a daily reminder of DueSouth in our household!

I am glad I found this site! I've known about Due South for a while, but was too young to have seen it when it first aired (or at least too young to care). I noticed it in syndication in Canada, so I started watching it and have grown to love it. (I also e-mailed the site so you could have the TV Listings updated, and you have!). I'm so happy that people are still keeping Due South alive, at least on the web! Anything I thought of, your site had addressed. I love that.
Thank you kindly!
P.S. This may be a weird question, but do you think it's possible that there could be a DS reunion?

Sadly not many people up here know of "Due South" or
even watched it first run when it was on CBS. I preach about the show because it was one of the best written/feeling shows I have ever watched and I mainatain that comment even now in 2005. This is a fantastic website and happy to have "stumbled upon" it a few months back.
I recently picked up the third season on DVD and am watching the show again from the first episode once I
get my greedy hands on season 4, it's over 7 years but
a lot of it is still fresh in my mind. I was one of the few
friends of mine to stick with it even after a year gap
and the change of "Ray" actor wise.
Great show, and a great site that does it honor

Your web site is fantastic. I learned about the dvd's, at Best Buy, from your site,(thank you, thank you, thank you). And have gone and bought the whole series. I am driving my kids nuts watching them all the time. My 7 year old son loves the theme and sings along with the ending.
I have been reading all the information your site has and I am very impressed with all the work you have put into it. It is nice to see all the people who think that this show was something special. Once again thanks for all your efforts at producing and maintaining an excellent web site.

Hey, guys, just wanted to say that I love your site *hugs the admins*
As a few people before have written, I saw this show on German TV a few years ago and then nearly forgot about it, until I accidentally found a fanfiction about it. And then I searched for more fanfiction. And then I ordered the DVDs. And then I found this website.
Special thanks for the Episode Guide and the DueSies-Project!

Hello, Great series, I love to watch it. It is broadcasted every evening during the week in Holland, so the video is running! Except yesterday evening: episode Heaven and Earth (1st season): video stopped 10 minutes or so too soon: in the middle of the scene where Veccio tells his sister to stay away from Fraser. Is there anyone who can tell me how that ended? Was it real, was it fake??? Did he discover that Fraser saw and heard them? Bye, Inez

What a wonderful website, it's so refreshing to see that even if the programme is no longer on the air, there are people out there who still love it, including me! I only stumbled on the site the other day by accident while I was trying to find DVD copies of the dS episodes and spent more time looking at the site than looking for the DVD's! I know that this question has been asked before, but wouldn't the release on R2 DVD be a really smart idea, look at the fan base!? Incidentally, a question to ponder on, how can Tesco (UK store) have Series 1 for rental, if it's not available on R2? Anyway, great site, please keep it going, I will be back!

Yeap, that's right - even here in Ukraine (to the west of Russia, he-he) and Russia we enjoy "due South"! It is amasing. The show combines understandable and at the same time sometimes very witty humour! It is always entertaining and interesting! The characters are the most unique and attractive (I mean positive and interesting to watch) trio I've ever seen! Fabulous! (Though personally I was really-really disappointed with first-Ray disappearance :( ...)

Hello, I stumbled into your website when I googled my original maiden name "Bebe Spanos" as I used to be when I edited The Charioteer many years ago. (I won't tell you how old I am now; for H. James said, "A woman who will tell her age, will tell anything." FYI, I become "Despoina", my ancient Greek, baptismal name ("Bebe" is the Greek diminutive) when the Chairman of the Humanities Division at the college where I desperately was seeking a job, refused to hire me as the "most unprofessional 'Bebe'" unless I changed to "clearly serious 'Despoina'". That "Bebe" became "Despoina" with great alacrity, goes without saying. He appointed me to the teaching job from which, after 30 or so years, I have retired.
Imagine my shock to see myself under my old name in your pages and identified as somebody's favorite commentator on Homer....Who, may I please ask, wrote that note about "Bebe Spanos"?
Best wishes to Due South which seems like great fun. I am hopelessly ignorant of websites, etc... but ready and willing to learn. Hence, this note. You all seem like "the right sort". Best Wishes,
Sincerely,
(and in Google elsewhere)

Howdy, Folks!
It's been a while since I left a message of appreciation for the site.
Strolling through the appearances, one considers immigrating to Canada just to be able to see members of the cast on TV more often!
The show is in my life every day.
When my computer turns on, Ray tells his mother he has to hang up because Fraser's pickin' lint off of him, again.
When I get email, Ray says he and the world's nicest person can be reached at the number (on the card).
When my computer shuts down, I hear "Do Ma ah"
I have numerous lines on my desktop. There isn't room on the desktop for all the lines I have on my hard drive.
due South continues to reside in a corner of my heart.
Thanks again to William and Elyse for maintaining this site to drop in for a warm and fuzzy visit of reminders and for more current information.
Most Fondly,

I first saw the show here in the 90's, staying up wayyy past my school night bedtime to watch it. Not being a fan of drama as such I couldn't believe how quickly I became attached to it and its wonderful mix of drama and quirky humour. I only have a few episodes on tape and a recent bout of nostalgia led me to the web and this site. It's great to see there are so many people out there who appreciate such a fantastic show. At least now with DVD releases we can still get our fix, and great websites like this give us the chance to learn more. Great work!

I'm very surprised this show still draws the attention that it has after it's premature demise.
But then again, I do remember the fun I had working on the show and meeting some of the fans at the last two conventions back in Toronto.
It deserves all accolades it got.
FYI, those of you that met me, and know how much I enjoy playing hockey, Dean McDermott (Turnbull) and I were on a hockey team together in T.O called Sgt Rock, until recently that is. He and his family have moved to L.A.
The last time I bumped into Tony Craig and Ramona Milano, they were happy and well. Paul will be awarded a special "Actra Award" (Canadian TV/Film Union - like the U.S. "SAG" awards) for his acheivements and contributions to his country through his work.
I'm still here puttering along, making brief appearances in various episodics. I've also began writing. Most recent hilight, I was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for my performance in a dramadey improvised indie film "Expecting", however I lost to Eugene Levy...(no shame in that, he's awesome) I also have recently appeared on a few episodes of "Zoey Busiek: Wild Card", and "Degrassi: The Next Generation"....
That's it for now!
All the best to sweetest fans around!

Wow - this website brings back so many childhood memories. I used to watch this with my brother when I lived in the UK and we loved it. I don't know why exactly, I just remember never missing an episode, but if you asked me if I can remember any of it, I can't. It's been too many years.
Great website - always get that nostalgia creep in when I see websites that still look like they haven't been touched in years. They're like old books in the library you open up just to see how life was years ago.
Oh yeah, and the reason I found this site is because I started singing the opening title song.. you know .. "Dueeeeee southhh .. that's the way I'm going.." :D

I absolutely love that you keep up with the show for me. The first three DVD's were awesome. I love Dief and I always have dreamed of my son being a mountie. This show will forever be in my heart! Even as a child I watched Dudley Do Right! I guess I'm just a Canadaphile (sp?).
Thank you kindly.

Great Website! Hope the news about Series 4 coming out in early 2005 is true. I've got the first three Series on DVD and it's all I seem to play at the moment. It was nice to see them finally put the pilot episode in there on Series 3.
It may be gone, but it'll never be forgotten.Keep up the good work and....thank you kindly!!

Well, I'm back. Just bought the 3rd season of DS yesterday. There was less annoyance of handling the DVDs since each disc has a cover on one side. Would have been nicer if the discs were separate instead of overlapped again, but at least you don't have to worry as much when taking the discs out.
Well, I say having this DS3 collection is worth it, esp. since it includes the episode "Mountie on the Bounty" along with the "Pilot Episode" [was annoyed when it wasn't in the DS1, so am I glad!]
Now I just hope DS4 will come out eventually...
Thank you kindly, William &Elyse!

I love due South. I first discovered it in about the 6th grade on TNT. I kept watching more and more episodes. It quickly became my favorite tv show. It's the best one ever. Then, it was pulled and I didn't know if it would ever come back on. I haven't been able to find out anything current about it until I found this website. I'm glad to know other people thought it was as good of a show as I did!

This was one of the most entertaining shows I've watched. The fish out of water the Benton Frasier represented was one of my favorite parts of the show. I was dissapointed that the attraction between Maggie Thatcher & Benton did not have time to develope. As for the discovery that Benton had a sister. It got a little lame with the tounge-in-cheek
stories but the decency that Canada's finest showed made
me feel proud that there was another hero that we could look up to. Maybe Paul Gross could do a couple of made for television movies.
Due South may be gone but not forgotten.

I love this site and I love this show!! It is So awesome to see how many people from around the world also watched and loved this show. =)
I've wanted to move to Canada for a long time now, and I was in Canada visiting... last summer(?)... anyway, I was flipping channels on TV just to see what kind of fine programing I could find on Canadian television and I saw this cute dog, I was like: "Hey that looks like Diefenbaker!" and then the camara pans out and I saw a mountie walking up in the back ground, and I was like: "NO WAY!! That *IS* Diefenbaker! I am SO Not going home!" ;)
It's not fair that Due South no longer airs here in the U.S. At least we have the different seasons being released on DVD... but, it's just not the same either!
Thanks for the site! Thanks for the memories!

This is far and away the best Due South site out there on the vast web. Reading it almost makes the show seem alive again (I think Andy Breckman and the Monk crew saw DS during its run, because that carries the same general spirit). Please keep this baby going as long as you can. Here's to hoping the show reaches another U.S. market or maybe even a TV or theatrical movie down the line (the way they're adapting TV shows to the screen right now, it's conceivable we might see this happen). One note, though; does anyone here who's in the U.S. or another Region 1 location know ANY stores that would sell DS DVDs/VHSs? Nobody seems to have them, not even in Vancouver when my family went on an Alaskan cruise. Just curious.

As I read the commentaries of others around the world, I am amazed, but not surprised that the DUE SOUTH series had such a wide following. It was/is a drama with just enough quirky comedy to suit many of us who appreciate the qualities of character exhibited by Paul Gross' character.
In this day and time, we might be thought of as "having our bubble a bit off center", but I miss the quality that I found in the show, I caught the reruns as often as I could while they were still being shown -- considering the difficulties Atlantic seems to be having in gettins the DVD's released, I now wish I had videotaped the lot.
Considering the longevity of shows like I LOVE LUCY and M*A*S*H, not to mention many of the western genre from the 50's and 60's, I am hopeful that DUE SOUTH may find revival through a new generation - but soon enough that I can get to enjoy it again. Thank you, William and Elyse, for this site. It lets me know there are others out there who thought as much of the show, and its characters, as I did.
By the way, I think two of the most enjoyable story lines were "The Mountie Train" and the "Ghost Ship"(??). Both featured the singing of Paul Gross. His voice is quite good. I guess he can add that to his list of multiple talents. Thanks again for your time.

The work you have done is superb. I spent nine years in the US military coming from a rural family and spending 7 of 9 military years in a foreign country. I can relate with Fraser. Politeness and helpfulness brings you a lot further than being as you are from home. I am from Indiana not far from Chicago, but rural. Thank God. Keep it up and give me a write. My girl is german and love "Ein Mountie in Chicago" that's what they call it in german. Thank you very kindly=is in German "verbindlichsten Dank".
I love the episodes with Leslie Nielsen. It is a sham that Dief didn't show up more often. I have an 11 and half year old german shepherd and he's more human than my dad.

Fraser asked for coffee, yesterday afternoon and this morning.
You know what that means - right?
No doubt Fraser had sex!
How could you dare to do this, I mean, think of all the
children which could loos their belive in the ultimate
Canadian hero.
What kind of coffee? Dallmeyer Rrodomo?
It took some years (how about 15) to wake me up. But since
awakenin gstartet in 1998 with Titanic, I have to spend
more and more time to get you guys back "on the line".
Hidden in this tv soap is the old British "The Needle"
theroie.
Just once a visit in two archives, brought: all wrong.
No GeStaPo, now SS, no SA, no NSDAP membership, but
obviously resistance.
I don't think all these effort for so many tv soaps after
WWII where made to cast wrong suspicion on victoms, but
the resistance against your more than just friendly,
furthermore highly responsible, efforts are a suprise.
In your own invironment your information does apear in an
inverted version.
Anyway, Constable Fraser is a great tv soap and is by far
higher in quality than the U.S. version calles "MacGuyver".
I'm pleased to see you.
P.S. Section 4 is running here in D-Land (with some unique
extension form 2003 -special information-), right after the Waltons (Betty kust married and Johnboy tried to publish "Mein Kampf") and before MacGuyver.

A story in the Toronto Star (when D.S. was still in production) newspaper stated that both Draco, & I think 1 other Deif. Dog (Lincoln?) were not purebred Siberian Huskies, but 2 brothers who were 1/2 Akita Inu. Lincoln looks like an Akita. (the ears, more curl to the tail, & shorter more plushy coat) Draco looks more like a pure Sibe.
Is this true? i'd like to think this as a proud Akita owner.

I love watching this show very much, but unfortunately it's been 6 years since the last series was made and it is no longer shown on british tv. It is also impossible for me to buy the tapes except occasionally secondhand and I don't think that it has been released on DVD. It's still very nice to see that other people like the show too. thanks a lot.

Thank you very much for keeping this site up to date even years after the show has finished. I hardly miss an episode when DS is on TV - and on your site I get all the information and links I need to nurse my addiction to the show. ;) Keep it up!

I took off work because I'm sick and I pulled out one of my old tapes of DS to relax with some quality TV. Then I decided to check the web and found your site. It's so refreshing to know that I can find this kind of material relating to something that I love - still!
None of my friends ever got into the show. Noone I know ever got to enjoy what this show had to offer.
Thank You kindly.

I remember watching the Due South pilot and falling in love with it. I was thrilled when the series began, crestfallen when it was cancelled, and elated when it was started up again. I've all of the episodes on VHS and have watched them through several times. The only problem with them is they were taped from satellite, and some episodes were ruined due to "satellite picture freeze".
I'm so excited to have season 1 on DVD, and to see that seasons 2 and 3 will be released!

Hi! Thanx for putting your wonderful site together. I have always been a fan of the show as I thought it was a great forum for the many jokes that it brought up about the differences between the U.S. and Canada. I really fell in love with the show when I befriended two Mormon Missionaries, one from Utah and one from California. We both laughed at the stereotypes. And I'll Never forget when they asked aroom full of Canadians all pumped up on Olympic Hockey, "What is a Diefenbaker anyway!"

I heard a rumour that my "true love" was a regular on your page so this is a selfish attempt to tell her and the whole entire world how much I Love her and what a screw up I am. That I miss her every second and that the "Marshmallow connection" will never die. Thanks for the medium; whoever loves another - make it for eternity! Now turn around and hug someone dammit!

Thanks to an American friend, I've been able to relive the antics of Fraser, Ray, and Deifenbaker!!!! Certain episodes had a quality of magic, quirkiness, and humour. I can't remember laughing at episodic television as I have laughed in reviewing these tapes. There is one episode I have rewound so many times, it's any wonder my VCR hasn't desinigrated...LOL It's the episode involving Fraser delivering a letter from the Consulate, when he gets wrapped up with a ditzy damsel in distress...the scenes, humour etc. was absolutely priceless!!!! I so loved the conversations between Fraser and his father, played by Canadian actor Gordon Pinsent. Professionalism at it's finest. I would love to correspond with other "Due South" fans if interested. Perhaps consider writing a parody of the show....something to think about!!!! Thanks again for providing a forum for devoted fans. Nancy

I love Due South, even though I am only 18. I came across it airing on Show Case when I was in the hospital (won't go there) I was sad to find out that I was a few years to late to catch it. Show Case is currently airing I think the 3rd season, and repeatedly might I add. I can't wait to ask my mom if I can buy all seasons. I've been dying to watch Men with Brooms with my dad, he curls, I like the movie, it could be fun! Hey girls out there, if I may add, I'm with ya'll on the gorgeous Paul Gross.

Hi everyone!
It 's been a while since I 've been here. But that seems to be a fault because there 's still new material of "Due South". Thanks to William and Elyse for keeping information about the series uptodate. Hopefully the series will be on DVD in Europe, because I haven 't all episodes on tape.
Are there no more german fans outside? Almost no entries in the guestbook for a long time. Anyway, if any German notices this entry, feel free to write me a mail for discussing "Due South".
As always some words to the creators of Due South: THANK YOU KINDLY!

I have to echo an earlier guestbook comment - thank you SO MUCH for keeping this site running. Sites too often disappear once a show is cancelled, despite the desire of the fans to keep up to date with the current goings-on of their favourite actors.
Good luck with the redesign - I would say I wait with bated breath, but as long as it holds half the info the site does currently, I know it will be wonderful. Many thanks for all your hard work.

It's been forever since I've watched Due South. But something made me go back and search for Due South stuff again.
I am so incredibly happy that I have found the 1st season on DVD, and the 3 VHS tapes that have been released. I've been obsessed with downloading MP3s from Due South. I seriously got really really excited and happy when I downloaded "Robert MacKenzie".
It's a shame they took it off the air here in the US. I loved that show! I seriously hope they release the rest of the episodes on DVD/VHS.
And as Amy Grant once sang "You don't know what you've got till it's gone...", the words ring true. I miss Due South. I didn't realize what we had until it wasn't on here anymore.
I say we start a petition, and have them bring it back!!!

I´m so happy! Due South is on here in Sweden for the third time. And this time I´m recording every episode!
Yesterday I saw the episode when Benton and Ray are locked in inside a bankvault (pardon the spelling - I´m swedish...)
I just love that one!! It´s just so... Due South!!
"Is that a smile? It is! It is a smile!"
And maybe this time I get to see "All the queens horses". I´ve missed it every time it was aired here:-(

Yesterday I say a documentary on Canada and instead of just enjoying it I could only think of Due South. I really miss the show! I do hope that the DVD-version of Due South will be released in Europe... I think it is one of the best series ever produced - it is so well written. Fraser always inspired me to do good and to be honest, the only tv character around that I really respected and loved. PLEASE let them release it on DVD in Europe!!!!
ps. This website is great!! Thank you for making it :) :)

Hi Elyse, it's been a while, yes it is me, really. Who else would know about the "oragami-in-a-bottle" gift you sent me.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and commend you and William on your D.S. web site.
There isn't much to say except that there is a film I did about to be released in March of 2003 entitled "EXPECTING".
It's an improvised comedy/drama. Hopefully it will be released outside of Canada as well.
Good luck, take care and be well,
