Notes on Photos
1. Click on thumbnail images or ID to view larger images.
2. From the larger image display you can return to this album display with your "BACK" button or proceed to next image in the way you view a slide show,
3. "Larger images" are actually optimized by software to provide maximum resolution available with most screens (about 70 dpi) while downloading fairly quickly. These are usually 30kb to 60kb files.
4. Some images suitable for printing (typically at 300dpi) are in "printable" folder whereas optimized (70dpi ) images are in "pages" folder. These are usually 90 to 150 kb files (1.3 Mega pixel camera) but sometimes 600 kb files (3 Mega pixel camera). Others will be put there upon request.
5. Images in original form (uncropped, not brightened, and not "optimized for screen display") can also be provided in most cases for editing for printing or publication. These are most often 150kb files and sometimes in 600kb to 1.5 Mb files, depending on the camera used.
6. Light from the camera flash diminishes rapidly with distance from the camera, and is said to be worthless beyond 15 feet; but, we have a lot of images with subjects distant from the camera and little ambient light. Adobe's Photoshop software allows selective brightening, but this can be very tedious work and is beyond the "snapshot" approach of these photo albums.
